Our name, 1N99, comes from Jesus’ parable of leaving the 99 sheep to seek the one who’s lost. Many organizations do vital work inside their doors—we help reach the ones who can’t make it there yet. Where people are too cold, hungry, sick, or scared to seek help, we bring practical “lifesaving” resources, then we help connect people to “life-changing” Christ centered programs & resources that can move them toward safety, recovery, and stability.
You may wonder how someone ends up this way. What I’ve witnessed is this: people—especially CHILDREN and VETERANS that I encounter don’t deserve this and never thought that they would wind up this way. Many are battling addiction, trauma, mental illness, injury, a long chain of losses, and some literally have never known or forgotten that another lifestyle exists for them.
Living in these conditions puts people in danger in ways most of us never face, and too many lives are lost before help reaches them. Your generosity could also mean someone’s last prayer and meal or a call to 911…So I humbly speak on behalf of myself, and more importantly, those I serve, “Thank You and may God Bless You”
